About Library

                              A library is the heart of an academic institution. Our institution encourages all students and staff members to make the best use of the library that has been carefully built up since the inception of the college as a cardinal support service of the institute. The prime objective of our library is to provide the right information to the users at the right time in the right manner by bibliographic sources and full-text sources in the form of print as well as digital in the disciplines of engineering, technology, management, general, etc. The central library is located in the institutional building occupying 635 sq.m., fully computerized with a reference section, magazine section, stack area, and digital library. Presently our library has a rich collection of 33023 volumes, 14235 titles in all branches of Engineering, Technology, Management, General studies, and the library subscribes 106 specialized journals, daily newspaper stacked for the benefit of staff and students. All the reading rooms in our library have been air-conditioned. The main aim of the Central Library is to provide information services and access to E-resources to support the faculty, students, and staff informational needs of the Institute Community. The fully computerized Central Library is well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of Books, Titles have subscribed to National and International printed journals and magazines including the subscription of DELNET online. The Library receives regular Journals and News Letters from organizations and Societies. The open Access system is being followed in the Central Library.

CIRCULATION ISSUE / RETURN TIMING 10:00am to 3:30pm AFTER 3:30pm REFERENCE USE ONLY

All Bharath Niketan Engineering College faculty, students, and staff are eligible to borrow from the Library.

  • Books borrowed must be returned before the due date.
  • Fifteen days once the book can be renewed.
  • Books will have to be physically present for renewals.
  • Books will be renewed if there are no reservations.
  • Users are requested to verify the physical condition of the books before borrowing.
  • For late return of books, overdue charges will be collected as per rules in force.

  • Before entering the library, Users should leave their belongings at the property counter.
  • Users should maintain silence inside the Library.
  • Mobile Phones are not allowed inside the Library.
  • The ID card is mandatory for library access and usage.
  • Users should sign in to the Entry Register.
  • The issue, return, and renewal of the books are done only through the Library counter.
  • Users should return the library resources in time without mutilating, disfiguring pages of resources by ink or pencil marks.
  • Furniture should not be disturbed from the actual position.
  • Digital Library can be used only for academic purposes, such as downloading books, E-Journals, articles, and browsing important resources.
  • Reference Books are not allowed out of the library.
  • Users should follow library rules and regulations and cooperate with library staff.
  • Users are not allowed to bring non-library materials inside the library and they can keep the belongings at the property counter.
  • A due certificate will be issued by the Librarian after the submission of library books, periodicals, and projects.
