The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) was established during 1998-99. The course has wider scope for job opportunities in the terrestrial communication systems like telephones, cellular phones, television, optical fiber communication, consumer and entertainment devices and space programs research. The field of Electronics and Communication is one of the imperative branches in engineering. This department has a set of dedicated, talented, well qualified and an experienced team as teaching faculty.
The department also has qualified and dedicated supporting staff for laboratories. This course covers a wide range of topics centered round radio based communications, radar systems. It has a long tradition of excellence in electromagnetism and its application and continues to exploit with a combination of fundamental and applied research.
The topics covered range from antennas, through microwave circuits, radio-wave propagation, optics, networking and radar, to communications signal processing. To develop entrepreneurial skills and to impart training in latest technologies to student, the department has signed MoU with reputed industries and institutions. This Department is responsible for teaching subjects relating to Electronics and Communication Engineering and conducting practical thereof as per curricula prescribed by the affiliating university.
